Give a hoot, or get hurt

More PEI goodness.

This from www.cbc.ca/pei

A 21-year-old Summerside man landed in the hospital early Wednesday morning after he fell out of a moving vehicle.

RCMP said the man was a passenger in a van coming home from a beach party in Chelton, between Summerside and Borden. Police said he opened the van door to throw away a beer bottle and fell onto the road.

He suffered major injuries to his feet and head and remains in hospital. RCMP said he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

The incident is under investigation and charges may be laid.

I Love Saint John

From the Canadian Press:

Man facing charges in Saint John, N.B., after naked dance across rooftop
The Canadian Press

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — A man faces charges in New Brunswick after police were treated to a bit of impromptu exotic entertainment.
Police were called to a street in Saint John on Tuesday night after reports of a man on the roof of a two-storey house, apparently intoxicated.
Staff Sgt. Liz Chisholm says when police arrived, the man stripped down to his sandals and danced the Bunny Hop across the roof, while slapping his buttocks.
Chisholm says the man was drinking out of a bucket of liquor he told police was tequila.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court today on charges of indecent exposure and causing a disturbance.

Mississaugas Finest

Great story in the Halifax Daily News by Paul McLeod about The Dome stopping dollar drink nights. It includes a "very informal survey" of Dal and Kings students living out of town and their reaction to the closure of their favourite place to get piss loaded drunk.

It includes some priceless quotes from students, including one guy from Mississauga who swears and says "ballsack".

A good -- short -- read.

The Halifax Locals page discussing the closure of the most hated bar in the HRM -- possibly the entire east coast -- amongst the discerning crowds. Locals is great for the breaking news aspect of any story, and a funny read in general.
